2023 Classes & Events
We offer a variety of classes and events for our clients and customers that are beneficial to the care and maintenance of ponds, water features and landscape areas. Most of these classes are free of charge, and afterwards you get a one-on-one with the instructor and a store discount on that day. It is an opportunity to share your experiences and connect with other pond owners while you learn. We do ask that you RSVP so we have enough room as our space is limited. Pond Plant Basics May 20th 11am
Pond plants can have many benefits, for our ponds and can benefit wildlife. Learn which pond plants would be the best choice for your pond or water feature. We will examine the 4 main types of pond plants, discuss seasonal bloomtime and maintenance tasks -potting plants, dividing, fertilizing. and much more!
Pond Fish Care- June 17th 11am Saturday
Learn how to introduce, care and feed your fish- koi, goldfish, catfish and other critters that may inhabit your pond. Kerri will share her care tips she learned from over 20 years of fish keeping and from her classes with Dr. Erik Johnson, leading Koi Vet from Georgia.
Waterlilies, Lotus & Water Container Gardens - July 15th 11am Saturday
We will discuss the different types of waterlilies and lotus and how to choose, plant and care for these pond gems. You will also learn about container water gardening for small spaces.
Fish Diseases & Parasites- August 12th 11am Saturday
Fish keeping can be challenging at times and understanding your fish behavior is crucial to their care. Learn about the different diseases & parasites that may affect your fish and how & when to treat them. Kerri will demonstrate how to examine and "scrape" a fish to view under the microscope.
Fall & Winter Pond Care - September 16th 11am Saturday
Learn what you need to do to get your pond and fish ready for winter and how to care for your pond during the seasons. We will also cover potential problems that may arise during colder months.
